Asbestos removal in elementary school has begun

An asbestos leakage at Redwood Elementary School in West Orange, New Jersey has been detected and the removal process  has begun. The leak was noticed by school officials, but the exact location cannot be pinpointed.

Workers will have to open up areas of the ceiling in order to search for the root of the asbestos exposure. Officials have stated that there will be no harm to the students of the elementary school during the time of the extraction.

Parents have been filing complaints against the school claiming that they were not informed of the asbestos leak or that their children were being removed from their classrooms. One parent notes that her child was removed from his classroom for three weeks due to the exposure, and she was not aware at all of this change.

Workers will conduct an air quality test each morning during the school week to make sure that the students will be able to safely reside in the building on that particular day.

Asbestos exposure can lead to the development of mesothelioma. If your job caused you to be around dangerous asbestos, and you have since developed mesothelioma, you need experienced representation on your side.
