Landlord charged after improperly removing asbestos

A landlord has been charged with asbestos violations after he allowed laborers to improperly handle the toxic material and then used the asbestos-contaminated tiles in another building he owned.

In order to avoid paying a $200,000 bill, the man has unlicensed laborers pull down the tiles illegally. The man went on with the demolition of the home even after he knew that the walls were contaminated with asbestos.

Asbestos is a carcinogen that is linked to rare forms of lung cancer, such as mesothelioma. He has now been charged with two felony counts of intentionally causing an incident with hazardous materials and multiple misdemeanors of air pollution.

If you or a loved one has been exposed to asbestos without your knowledge and developed mesothelioma as a result, you need experienced representation on your side. Contact the mesothelioma lawsuit lawyers of Williams Hart by calling 800-781-3955 today and discussing your legal options.
