Connecticut woman survives mesothelioma

A woman in Stonington, who developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos dust, is now 17 months free of the often deadly cancer, theday.com reported on September 26.

According to Lisa Rolfe, the likely cause of her cancer was second-hand exposure in childhood to asbestos from her father who worked with the hazardous material at his job. Rolfe sought out answers from doctors after suffering breathing problems. Soon after, an x-ray revealed three large tumors. Rolfe underwent chemotherapy and surgery in Boston to remove the cancerous tumors in her lungs. She now has been cancer-free for almost a year and a half.

It takes aggressive and expensive treatment to fight mesothelioma. If you are in this unfortunate situation, getting a lawyer’s help is important, especially if you believe that your illness was the result of preventable asbestos exposure. The lawyers of Williams Kherkher believe that negligent parties should be held accountable. Find out how we may possibly get your much needed treatment funds today by calling 800-781-3955.
