The family of a man has now filed a lawsuit against Texaco and Chevron alleging that the two companies caused the man to develop an asbestos-related disease by exposing him to toxic fibers.
The lawsuit was filed last week in the Jefferson County Court and claims that the two companies caused the man to suffer from pulmonary asbestosis, which he died from on August 20.
It also states that the two companies were aware that asbestos could be harmful but failed to warn employees. The suit does not state how long the man was employed with these two companies, but it does state that the plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages.
