The widow of a man that died of an asbestos-related disease has now filed a lawsuit against Texaco and Chevron USA.
According to the lawsuit, the man worked at Texaco in Port Author where he was exposed to asbestos dust. He was later diagnosed with pulmonary asbestosis and died in March 2010.
The suit alleges that the defendants knew of the dangers associated with asbestos and allowed their employees to continue working with them. The plaintiffs, the man’s wife and three children, are suing for exemplary damages.
