Billy F. Wall, a former worker at the Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant in Harrison County, Texas, and his wife, Sandra Wall, recently filed an asbestos lawsuit in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division. Billy Wall worked at the ammunition plant from 1974 to 1996 as a welder, pipefitter, and insulator.
According to the lawsuit, Wall was continuously exposed to asbestos fibers while working at the plant because in his position he was required to remove old asbestos piping insulation and replace it with new asbestos insulation. Several manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers of the asbestos containing products were named as defendants in the suit.
The defendants are accused of failure warn of the dangers related to asbestos exposure, failure to properly package products with warnings, failure to inform buyers of how to safely use their products, and failure to test the products. Wall found out that he had contracted multiple asbestos-related diseases earlier this year.
