Julius Boudreaux filed a federal lawsuit against his former employers J. Ray McDermott Inc. and McDermott Inc. in the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.
Boudreaux worked for the defendants as a rigger in the Gulf of Mexico between 1965 and 1978. After learning that he had been exposed to asbestos in materials he worked with over 30 years ago, Boudreaux decided to file suit against the company for putting him at risk of developing mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a cancer that occurs in the mesothelial tissues of the lungs, heart, and abdomen. Bordreaux hopes to receive damages for the physical and mental anguish he has suffered, medical expenses, and fear of the possibility of future injury.
