Asbestos has been found at the Nicolet School District in Wisconsin, but officials say that the asbestos removal project will not begin until after classes end for the year.
The Superintendent said in a statement that the asbestos abatement will be conducted by experts and will follow the strict state and federal guidelines. He also said that the delay in the abatement process was due to the fact that he did not want students to have any distractions during their final exams.
Parents also fought to postpone the renovations because they were concerned about health issues.
