The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sued a Boise-area contractor for $36,000 for the violation of the Clean Air Act's rules of asbestos use. The suit stems from a 2008 renovation performed by the defendant, Precision Demolition and Abatement. According to the EPA, the company violated regulations requiring them to inform when renovation operations would take place, keep asbestos wet while working on it, and keeping asbestos fibers from getting into the air.
