WR Grace is renewing their $250,000 donation to St John's Lutheran Hospital in Libby, Montana. The hospital provides medical treatment for the town of Libby and surrounding South Lincoln County. WR Grace has been donating to St John's for the last 10 years with amounts totalling more than $2 million over the decade.
The hospital has a high demand for asbestos related disease treatment because of the large quantities of asbestos around Libby. The donations from WR Grace have allowed St John's to establish a clinic, train medical staff, purchase equipment and generally treat patients. In addition, WR Grace has contributed over $17 million to the Libby Medical Fund for residents who suffer from asbestos related illnesses.
