Monmouth Regional High School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey is going to remove asbestos from a portion of the building over the summer. The asbestos has not been problematic so far and does not necessarily need to be removed. However, the removal will be a great safety precaution, taking away all possibility of asbestos exposure.
Two wings of the building will recieve asbestos abatement because the school plans to remodel several areas. The school is also planning on replacing the current ceiling and have decided that dealing with the asbestos now rather than when it could become a problem will be much safer and more effective. The work is set to start once the school year ends.
