The asbesotos scare that occurred last week at the Huntley Post Office has been determined to be unfounded. The post office was closed down on Thursday during remodeling when some of the workers found tiles that they suspected might contain asbestos. The Environmental Protection Agency was called in to investigate.
Upon further inspection, the EPA found that the tiles did not have asbestos in them and that there were no asbestos related health risks. The post office was reopened on Friday after the inspection of the tiles and the air test came up negative for asbestos. Luckily, there was no risk of exposure because of this.
