The trial involving public exposure to asbestos in the Libby area, northwest of Missoula, is scheduled to hold preliminary hearings this week. WR Grace and Company used to operate a vermiculite mine in the area, and is facing criminal charges for exposing the public to asbestos.
The government claims that the company and several of the former managers conspired to hide the health risks of the mine. The company has denied any wrongdoing. The trial is scheduled to start on February 19th and should last about three months.
Prolonged asbestos exposure can lead to terrible health conditions such as asbestosis and mesothelioma. If you or someone you know has been exposed to asbestos, contact the Montana mesothelioma lawyers of Williams Kherkher at 800-220-9341.
