A recent audit by the Australian government has found that there is asbestos present in many schools in the New South Wales region. This includes the region's six high schools and approximately 4,000 students.
According to the spokesman for the Education Department, the asbestos is not currently a danger to the students or general population. As long as the asbestos containing materials are not disturbed, there is no danger. If there is any disturbance, however, the material can be isolated, and anyone who works with it can take necessary precautions.
Asbestos is a very dangerous substance. If you or someone you know has been exposed to asbestos, contact the asbestos attorneys of Williams Kherkher at 800-220-9341.
