On August 29 Yvonne Nannini, the widow of Illinois resident William Nannini, filed an asbestos suit against 73 defendant corporations in Madison County Circuit Court, IL . The suit claims that her husband’s death due to mesothelioma was wrongfully caused. Yvonne has filed a case on behalf of her late husband, who died passed away on August 10. He was diagnosed with this illness on July 16.
William worked as a laborer and barber from 1952 to 2004 at various locations in Illinois. During the course of his employment, he was exposed to and inhaled, ingested or otherwise absorbed asbestos fibers from certain products manufactured or distributed by the defendant companies. As a result he contacted mesothelioma, from which he died a painful death. In a fourteen point lawsuit Nannini claims sums in excess of $7000,000 as compensatory damages for William’s injuries and punitive damages.
